Three exceptions
Running Dictation (Junior)
Up to 2 teams, with 2 students each
Page to Product (Senior)
Up to 2 teams, with 2 students each
Debate (Senior)
1 team of 2 — one speaking for the topic and one against the topic

Rules
Rules and regulations
The essentials are below, and every event page carries its own detailed rules. Judges' decisions shall be final and binding across all events.
Who can take part+
Students of Grades 5 to 10 from invited schools. Junior events are for Grades 5–7 and Senior events for Grades 8–10. Students must be entered by their school.
Entries per school+
One team or participant per event, except Running Dictation (Junior) and Page to Product (Senior), which allow two teams each. Debate is one team of two speakers — one speaking for the topic and one against the topic.
Reporting and uniform+
All participants report at 9:00 AM in school uniform, carrying their school ID. Events begin at 10:00 AM.
Time slots+
Events in the same slot run simultaneously, so a student may take part in one event per slot. Participants should reach their studio at least five minutes before the start time.
Materials+
Unless an event's page says otherwise, only materials provided by the organisers may be used. Where students must bring their own materials, it is stated on that event.
Devices and assistance+
Mobile phones, notes, books and internet access are not permitted during events unless the event specifically requires them. No assistance from teachers, parents or spectators is allowed once an event begins.
Conduct+
Unsportsmanlike conduct, plagiarism or damage to studio equipment may lead to penalties or disqualification.
Results+
Results are announced the same day. Judges' decisions shall be final and binding across every event.
